The city wanders off
It’s just me and the birds
Clouds, yards, tree tops
I’m building a whole new world
but I keep relaxing back into this one
Sparrows and the wind
A wasp resting in the sun
Pen lying idle on the paper

This space is where I play with American-style haiku, emphasizing ephemeral moments and sensations, but following the rhythm and structure of English, rather than the traditional Japanese.
